An unhappy woman takes a journey into her past in this low-key drama from Hungarian filmmaker Agnes Kocsis. Piroska (Eva Gabor) is a middle-aged nurse who works in the terminal ward of a large hospital, looking after dying patients and shuttling their remains to the morgue. Her husband Kallman (Istvan Znamenak) works in animal husbandry and is more interested in his hobbies than in her; he often berates Piroska for her weight problem and fondness for cream-filled pastries, but she prefers the short term pleasure of a custard doughnut to the annoyance of dealing with her spouse. One day, Piroska is moving a body from one part of the hospital to another when she notices the late patient was known as Adrienn Pal, the same name as her best friend from childhood. While the deceased is not the same person, Piroska begins to wonder what became of her friend, and she sets out to find her. Pal Adrienn was an official selection at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.
