Pahare Atanko is a suspense thriller with a twist of comedy and drama. The plot line has a mix of it all - drama is present with the relationship development of the main characters Sid and his girlfriend Mou, Sid's friend Rohan and his girlfriend Piu and Sid's brother Jojo. There is thrill and adventure as they plan a trip to the north-eastern part of Bengal, in Gangtok and are entrapped in a plot by Sid's evil uncle Rana, who tries to kill them all. Suspense is built throughout the story relating to the series of misfortune events that the gang gets involved in. there are also some comic relief moments, especially by Sid's brother who is the funniest and smartest of them all. The movie ends on a typically happy note, where all evil is trumped over by good, and everyone is safe and happy reunited with friends and family. And finally, the suspense is addressed.
