2019, City of Madrid (Madrid, center to Spain and capital's country): According to himself, Javier is the perfect 21st-century father: he's CEO and computer technician for an important mobile-phone company, but he spends all his time lost in his laptop, programming new apps for an upcoming project--neglecting his wife Marisa and their five children: teenager Sara, preteen Carlota, middle children Rocío and Dani, and little Paula. He believes that all is right, that he knows each of his children perfectly and Marisa just exaggerates everything needlessly. Marisa simply exaggerates any thing needlessly. Marisa calls Javier the perfect "husband brother-in-law" to fix any trouble in the belief that he's perfect in anything he does, at the same time that she only counts on help from her housemaid Rosaura, to look after the children. But the situation explodes when Javier gives Marisa bad news: he cannot fulfill the long-time promised travel to the Caribbean travel to celebrate their 15 years of marriage. Tired of and bored with Javier, Marisa invites her sister-in-law Carmen to go on holiday with her for a week, testing Javier to prove if he's really as perfect as he thinks. While Marisa realizes that traveling with Carmen is a nightmare as she's determined to take a walk on the wild side, Javier's new position as full-time father overwhelms him, turning what he thought would be a simple, quiet week into a nonstop spiral of madness. Will anything return to how it was?
