Unlike Today tells the story of an aging couple who refuse to accept their physical and mental deterioration. Paul and Elisabeth are helpless puppets of themselves. In the symbiotic relationship between Paul's lively spirit and Elisabeth's good physical shape, they try to maintain their independent lives. But the two of them are at the end of their tether. Despair and other signs of fatigue have been gnawing at them for a long time. Paul and Elisabeth realize that they are no longer able to continue their lives without outside help. Night turns to day and everyday life becomes a nightmare.
