Muriel Leferle, a young woman as she moves through the French judicial system. Muriel, a repeat offender, is arrested for car theft and brought to the Paris courthouse. The film observes, in real time and with a static camera, her successive interviews with key figures in the legal process: a court-appointed psychologist, a prosecutor, and her defense lawyer. As Muriel speaks, she tries to justify her actions, sometimes contradicting herself, gradually revealing a complex personality-both vulnerable and defiant, yet also strikingly self-aware.
