Nikki Reed gives a dead-on performance as a scheming teen temptress who tries to drive her alcoholic, ex-actress mother (Carrie-Anne Moss) mad in this trenchant black comedy. Her partner in crime (and lust) is her most-willing stepdad (Alec Baldwin). The film, with nods to noir classics "Double Indemnity" and "The Postman Always Rings Twice," is the directorial debut of Nick Guthe, who also wrote the screenplay and has a small role as Mr. Bishop.
