Nandkishore Dixit and his wife Vidya separate while their daughter Jyoti is only seven years old and Vidya takes custody of her daughter.Years later Jyoti grows up to be a talented girl but feels ignored from her mother whose busy in her business.Jyoti can meet her father once year and likewise every year she goes to meet him at Ambewadi where he is currently transferred.Jyoti comes across Deepu (Deepak) in village and have differences but after Deepu saves Jyoti's life twice she starts to have feelings for him.Deepu and Jyoti fall in love and decides not to return back to her mother whose wants her to get married to son of businessman Marathe.Lakshya friend of Deepu plans to get them married in presence of other villagers during fair.But Vidya arrives and warns everyone that they could face jail term for this.As Jyoti is still a minor and forcefully takes her along with her.
