Uneasy relations between the sexes are made all the worse by several men's bad behavior in this comedy-drama from director Gyorgy Palfi. Mark (Zsolt Pall) is a shopkeeper who catches an attractive young woman (Corbisier Kim) pilfering merchandise. Mark begins questioning her about the crime, and interrogation gives way to flirtation, but when she responds in kind, Mark faintly realizes he's cheating on his girlfriend (Kamilla Fatyol) who is carrying his child, though the knowledge doesn't stop him. Mark's friend Andras (Csaba Gosztonyi) similarly plays mind games with his girlfriend Sophie (Kati Farkas) while chasing other women; Mark has also been involved with Sophie, and eventually their double dealings with a number of women begin to catch up with them. Nem Vagyok Baratod (aka I Am Not Your Friend) was completely improvised by Palfi, his cast and his crew over the course of a twenty-day shooting schedule. The film received its North American premiere at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival.
