Kenneth Branagh gives another in a long line of stellar performances in this edgy comedy-drama. Branagh plays Peter McGowen, a British playwright plying his trade in Los Angeles, where he has run into some problems with his latest theater piece and his wife (Robin Wright Penn), who's pushing him to have kids.
