Cecil B. De Mill directed this melodrama wherein marital jealousy leads to disastrous results. Kerry Harlan (Rod La Rocque) is a poor but honest young man who moves easily among the wealthy social elite. When he and Amy Loring (Vera Reynolds) are paired in a boat race, Kerry suffers from a shark bite. The two are soon married, but Kerry is forced to the dance floor when his wife intentionally makes him jealous by dancing with another man. As Kerry tries to dance he is further injured. His wife's brother--in-law is the noted surgeon Dr. Fergus Lansell (Robert Edeson) who orders Kerry to stay off his feet for an entire year. Amy is forced to take work as a mannequin to support the family. Ricardo Cortez, Victor Varconi, and Julia Faye co-star with Theodore Kosloff in this story of love and betrayal.
