Gokulakrishnan is a qualified and dedicated teacher who struggles to secure a permanent teaching position despite his seniority and qualifications when the school manager, Shankunni Nair, demands a bribe in exchange for his appointment. Refusing to give up the position he believes he rightfully deserves, Gokulakrishnan attempts to overcome bureaucratic obstacles and deceptive schemes created by the school management, including difficulties involving the retrieval of his employment records and complications concerning the A.E.O.'s daughter. During his efforts, he encounters adversaries such as the hot-tempered Kleetus and receives assistance from people including Gafoor, while becoming caught in a series of increasingly chaotic situations involving competing personal interests and grievances. Gokulakrishnan eventually overcomes the obstacles created by the management and, with the intervention of the A.E.O.'s daughter, succeeds in obtaining the teaching position.
