The self-styled anarchist Archibaldo Spadafora is a failure as an artist, having never sold a painting. Instead, he spends his time partying with his counter-culture followers and romping in the hay with his girl de jour, Gioia. But in a moment of serendipity, he discovers a new art form that catches the eye of a local art dealer named Max Laponi. In exchange for taking his insatiable girlfriend, Luiza, Laponi agrees to hold an exhibition of Archis latest creations. Tossing principles to the wind, Spadafora shamelessly panders to the snobbery of the elitist art world, and makes a fortune. After throwing a wild party in celebration of his newfound success, Archi drops out of sight with his latest muse, Brunhilde, to pursue a new avenue in painting. Needless to say, his entrepreneurial manager Eros and greedy landlady Isabela are rather put out by his irresponsibility.
