Having reached the lowest point in his life, Richie, a self-destructive outcast on the brink of defeat, desperately wants out. However, nothing is over until it's over; an unexpected call from his estranged sister Maggie offers a new lease of life, but only a fleeting one. Strange as it may seem, Maggie needs Richie, the last person she would ever call, to look after her young daughter, Sophia, for the night.
