In this quirky Western Will Rogers plays Alec Lloyd, a ranch foreman with a penchant for playing matchmaker. After getting all the other cowboys hitched, he's the only one left single. The object of his affections is his employer's daughter, Macie Sewell (Helene Chadwick) but he has a rival in a young Eastern doctor. Eventually, of course, Alec wins out. This slight plot, based on a magazine story, "Alec, the Cowpuncher," by Eleanor Gates, seemed to exist only to give Rogers an opportunity to show off his roping and bronco busting tricks. It was spiced up by titles written by Rogers himself -- who else could have described the young doctor as having "a lot of tools but no sense"?
