Zack Stratis directs this quirky documentary/mockumentary/musical hybrid about the clash between his steadfastly traditional Greek-American family and his own sexuality. The film opens with Statis seeking advice from his siblings as to what his film should be about. His self-obsessed sister Evmorphia thinks that the film should be about her. His brother Stahi, on the other hand, thinks that the film should be framed as a Greek tragedy. Zack uses the occasion of his parents' 50th wedding anniversary to broach the subject of his homosexuality. His father Gus initially refuses to acknowledge his son's sexuality, but during the ensuing argument, Zack breaks into song. "You're celebrating 50 years of being straight. Why can't I be openly gay?" Soon father and son are debating in song which flag should adorn the family house -- the American, or the rainbow-striped gay flag. This film was screened at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival.
