Christmas at Dollywood

Although she loves her job as an event planner for successful Gail Lane in New York City, the company which Gail tells her directly will someday be hers in being the best of her staff, Rachel Davis, if being true to herself, would admit the job was a fallback when none of her children's books were accepted for publication. When an event is canceled at the last minute, Gail gives Rachel an unexpected break over the Christmas holidays that will let Rachel and her teen daughter Ava return "home" to spend Christmas with Rachel's parents and sister Maggie in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where Rachel and Maggie grew up in the shadow of Dollywood, where Maggie now works in administration. Maggie arranges for Rachel, on behalf of Gail's company, to interview to handle the 30th-anniversary Christmas event at Dollywood, arguably the biggest event Rachel would have worked on if awarded it in having a national scope. When Rachel arrives at Dollywood she meets Luke Hackman, Dollywood's Director of Operations, who is interviewing for the General Manager position. After their respective interviews, Rachel and Luke are both dismayed to learn that they have been appointed co-organizers of the 30th-anniversary event; they have differing views and working styles. Eventually able to overcome their antagonism, they begin to work harmoniously together, realizing that they're working toward not only the same goal of a successful event, but also their end goals of putting Gail's company on the national map and Luke getting the GM position. In the process, Rachel and Luke start to fall for each other. Their path to a happily-ever-after is hindered by their diverging life paths--Rachel's in New York City working toward a higher position in Gail's company, and Luke's struggle to accept a sure-thing offer as GM at Atlanta's Wild West Amusements, especially as he suspects that he won't get the GM position at Dollywood although his heart is there.

The Passion of the Christ

2 hr 7 mins
A depiction of the last twelve hours in the life of Jesus of Nazareth, on the day of his crucifixion in Jerusalem. The story opens in the Garden of Olives where Jesus has gone to pray after the Last Supper. Betrayed by Judas Iscariot, the controversial Jesus - who has performed 'miracles' and has publicly announced that he is 'the Son of God' - is arrested and taken back within the city walls of Jerusalem. There, the leaders of the Pharisees confront him with accusations of blasphemy; subsequently, his trial results with the leaders condemning him to his death. Jesus is brought before Pontius Pilate, the prefect of the Roman province of Judaea, for his sentencing. Pilate listens to the accusations leveled at Jesus by the Pharisees. Realizing that his own decision will cause him to become embroiled in a political conflict, Pilate defers to King Herod in deciding the matter of how to persecute Jesus. However, Herod returns Jesus to Pilate who, in turn, gives the crowd a choice between which prisoner they would rather to see set free - Jesus, or Barabbas. The crowd chooses to have Barabbas set free. Thus, Jesus is handed over to the Roman soldiers and is brutally flagellated. Bloody and unrecognizable, he is brought back before Pilate who, once again, presents him to the thirsty crowd - assuming they will see that Jesus has been punished enough. The crowd, however, is not satisfied. Thus, Pilate washes his hands of the entire dilemma, ordering his men to do as the crowd wishes. Whipped and weakened, Jesus is presented with the cross and is ordered to carry it through the streets of Jerusalem, all the way up to Golgotha. There, more corporal cruelty takes place as Jesus is nailed to the cross-suffering, he hangs there, left to die. Initially, in his dazed suffering, Jesus is alarmed that he has been abandoned by God his father. He then beseeches God. At the moment of his death, nature itself over-turns.
