American artist Chris Burden purchased twenty-four 30-second commercial spots on two New York television channels, and twenty-one spots on three Los Angeles channels, to promote a series of six acclaimed historical artists: Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, van Rijn, Rembrandt, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and himself. The six names appear progressively on the screen in a yellow bold digital font on a blue background as they are announced by the artist himself. The series of name is repeated twice and followed by the disclaimer "Paid for by Chris Burden - artist".
