Director Jaroslav Papousek is best known as one of the most respected players in the Czech New Wave movement but he stopped making films between 1969 and this 1984 effort. This drama-comedy centers on Kilian (Ondrej Havelka), a man interned in a psychiatric hospital. His major flaw is the inability to make up his mind (possibly a political aside). The inmates in the hospital don't appear dangerously insane, but more like a group of oddball non-conformists. Kilian falls for his attractive therapist and pulls out all the stops in pursuing her, while a female patient does the same in regard to Kilian.
