Philip Seymour Hoffman won a much-deserved Best Actor Oscar for his uncannily astounding performance as "In Cold Blood" author Truman Capote. The exceptional biopic spans the six years Capote spent working on his 1966 masterpiece. Catherine Keener received a Best Supporting Oscar nod as Capote's friend and researcher Harper Lee, who a few years later would publish "To Kill a Mockingbird."
