Neil McGill misses his wedding - again; when he arrives home, he finds his fiancée and parents waiting, and no one is happy with his behavior. Neil's fiancée, who wants him for his money, walks out on him but believes he will come back to her, while Neil's father threatens to cut off his funds if he doesn't become more productive by going to work. Neil's mom decides to take him to Switzerland to visit a doctor who can provide a medical reason for Neil repeatedly missing his own wedding. While in Switzerland, Neil meets Luise who works at the hotel, and falls in love with her; Luise has reservations about Neil after she finds out he has a fiancée, but when Neil comes to her rescue, she can't help but fall in love with him too.
