Jacques Batkin, a busy transportation magnate, has made a name for himself in the cut-throat business world. Eddy, his only son, is the apple of his eye: a neglected 17-year-old socialiser without a care in the world. But everyone has a skeleton in their closet. When a drug-addled Eddy takes the life of Officer Grimaldi, a father of three, the shocking news begins to chip away at Batkin's polished facade, bringing out his ignoble past. Now, money and status cannot save Eddy's skin; the public opinion is against them, and so is the judge. And branded as the father of a murderer, Jacques is between the hammer and the anvil. As he lets it all burn, his new identity and fresh conscience, Batkin must ask himself: Can he save the gangster's son?
