Burmese Harp (Biruma No Tategoto) is Japanese director Kon Ichikawa's color remake of his own classic 1956 film of the same name (aka Harp of Burma), retelling the story of a Japanese soldier whose horrible experiences in Burma during World War II pave the way to his becoming a monk.
