This documentary film tells the colorful life that was led by one of the most recognized jazz vocalists in music history through a concoction of music, animation, and never-before-heard interviews done by journalist Linda Lipnack Kuehl with Billie's family, friends, former prison inmates, lawyers, and figures such as Tony Bennett, Count Basie, and Charles Mingus.
