A young photographer (Kenny Bee) is introduced to the amoral, materialistic life in Hong Kong through his experiences with three different women in this exceptionally understated drama about his transformation. The first woman is a famous television and movie star whose one-track monetary mind leads to multiple affairs with wealthy men. The second is a "nightclub hostess" looking for a relationship that lasts longer than one hour and does not involve the exchange of money. The third is a frosty debutante who degrades the men in her life. As the photographer mingles with Hong Kong urbanites, including these three women, his idealism seems destined for early retirement.
