Filmed on-location at Mariner's Harbor, Staten Island, this minor Western melodrama featured young Harold Lockwood as an Eastern tenderfoot travelling West to buy a home for his mother (Gertrude Claire). En route, Harold and his brother lose their money to a gambler. Happily, the money is restored to them by their Uncle Bill, "a true Westerner." The one-reel drama was Lockwood's third film and his first for Nestor, a company founded in 1910 by movie pioneer David Horsley. One of America's earliest screen idols, Harold Lockwood would become perhaps the most notable victim of the tragic 1918 influenza epidemic.
