Two brothers raised within a dysfunctional family reunite after years apart and embark upon a cross-country journey, along the way attempting to plumb the depths of their souls. During the opening sequence, scenes from the siblings' past show how their father's physical abuse of their mother led eldest brother Tanner (Sean Graham) to shoot him. He is next seen heading for jail. Younger brother Johnny (Scott Waugh) ends up in a nice foster home in Los Angeles. Where Tanner grew up in prison, Johnny went to college. Fifteen years pass, and Tanner is up for parole. Johnny reluctantly fulfills Tanner's request to go with him to see the parole bureau in Hollywood. It turns out, however, that the meeting is to occur in Hollywood, Florida. The two then hop into Tanner's classic Lincoln convertible and, with only the title amount in their pockets, hit the road. Lead actors Graham and Waugh penned the script for this low-budget independent drama. It showed at the 1998 AFI Film Festival to lukewarm reviews, in large part because of the over serious tone, uneven storytelling and lack of meaningful insight into the brothers' lives.
