The Office Cast: Then and Now

Carell departed The Office after Season 7. He earned an Oscar nod for the 2014 drama Foxcatcher; in 2019, he co-starred as a disgraced news anchor on Apple TV+'s The Morning Show (pictured), and in 2020 he co-created and starred in Netflix's Space Force, which reunited him with The Office creator Greg Daniels. 

Carell was best known as a correspondent for the Jon Stewart-era Daily Show when he was cast as Michael Scott, the utterly clueless, but ultimately well-meaning, boss of Dunder Mifflin's Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch.

Carell departed The Office after Season 7. As Dwight Schrute, Wilson was Scranton's longtime beet-farming, Mussolini-quoting, no-joking-around sales rep -- and, most famously, assistant (to the) regional manager.

The actor has starred in a detective series (Backstrom) and guested on the CBS comedy Mom. As of 2019, he was in production on the new Amazon series Utopia.

Krasinski made his name -- and many faces -- as Jim Halpert, the Scranton sales rep who spent the bulk of The Office's first three seasons pining for secretary Pam Beesly (played by Jenna Fischer).

These days Krasinski has little reason to make helpless looks, à la Jim. He's a leading man (Amazon's Jack Ryan, pictured) and hit filmmaker (A Quiet Place, which he also starred in).

Fischer caught her big break with the role of Pam Beesly, the secretary who loves talking to Jim but feels trapped in a stifling relationship with Roy from the warehouse (played by David Denman).

No wallflower, Fischer starred in the ABC comedy Splitting Up Together and wrote the "hilarious" 2017 memoir The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide. She also co-hosts Office Ladies, an Office-themed podcast, with Angela Kinsey.

During his Office run, Novak multitasked as a writer, producer, and actor. He played Ryan Howard, the temp who becomes Michael's drug-fueled boss ... who becomes a temp again.

Novak continues to wear multiple hats: He's written books, including My Book with No Pictures, played himself on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and worked on Office pal Mindy Kaling's The Mindy Project.

Kaling was hired to write for The Office. She made her on-screen debut as Dunder Mifflin's Ryan Howard-crazed Kelly Kapoor in the Season 1 episode "Diversity Day."

Kaling has created her own success with the likes of The Mindy Project, two best-selling memoirs, and the 2019 Amazon film Late Night (pictured).

Kinsey played the humorless accountant Angela Martin on The Office.

Kinsey cooks up fun with husband Joshua Snyder on their YouTube channel, Baking With Josh & Ange. She also co-hosts Office Ladies, an Office-themed podcast, with Jenna Fischer.

Nunez played sensible Scranton accountant Oscar Martinez, a character famously outed by Michael Scott in the Season 3 episode "Gay Witch Hunt."

Nunez is seen at the 2019 premiere for the Gabriel Iglesias Netflix series Mr. Iglesias, on which he has a recurring role. Since leaving The Office, Nunez is best known for his appearances in commercials for State Farm insurance. 

Baumgartner played Kevin Malone, an accountant who likes drums, cards ... and lunch.

Baumgartner, a prolific TV guest star (The Goldbergs, Life in Pieces), is seen in 2019 at a Los Angeles Comic Con panel, which reunited several stars of The Office. He's currently working on an Office oral history podcast for Spotify. 

Baker played Stanley Hudson, the Scranton sales rep whose hobbies include solving crossword puzzles and complaining.

A smiling Baker is seen at a red-carpet event in Beverly Hills, California, in 2017. He's the voice of Rufus the bulldog on the Disney Junior animated series Puppy Dog Pals.

Smith was working as a casting associate on The Office when she was herself cast. The role of sales rep Phyllis Lapin (later known as Phyllis Vance) was created for her.

Smith is heard as Sadness in Pixar's Inside Out. She got serious in the Netflix mystery-drama The OA (pictured).

On The Office, Flannery was Meredith Palmer, the Scranton sales rep with a rep for drinking and enjoying the company of gentlemen friends.

Flannery is seen in 2019 on the set of Hallmark Channel's Home & Family. The appearance came a couple of weeks before the actress was eliminated as a contestant from Season 28 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

Lieberstein was another of The Office's writer-producer-actor hybrids. In front of the camera, he played Michael Scott's nemesis, Scranton's perfectly nice HR rep, Toby Flenderson.

Lieberstein was an executive producer on the 2017-2018 supernatural Fox comedy Ghosted, starring Office alum Craig Robinson (who also served as an executive producer).

Robinson played the unflappable Darryl Philbin, who works his way up from the warehouse to a desk job (and along the way occasionally dazzles on keyboard and vocals).

Robinson, seen on stage at a 2019 music festival in San Francisco, has starred in the Hot Tub Time Machine movies (alongside fellow Office alum Clark Duke) and appeared in the 2019 Eddie Murphy film, Dolemite Is My Name.

A 1960s rocker with the Grass Roots ("Let's Live for Today"), Creed Bratton made his Office debut in the pilot as Scranton's shifty quality-assurance manager -- also named Creed Bratton.

Bratton, the real one, is seen on stage at a 2016 benefit concert in Los Angeles.

The daughter of music mogul Quincy Jones and actress Peggy Lipton came into her own as Karen Filippelli, originally a sales rep in Dunder-Mifflin's Stamford, Connecticut, branch. Jones appeared primarily in Seasons 3 and 4 -- and served mostly as the catalyst for the long-awaited Jim-Pam union.

Jones went on to star in the comedy series Parks and Recreation, Angie Tribeca, and #blackAF, while also branching out into producing, directing, and writing. She won a Grammy in 2019 for Best Music Film for directing the documentary Quincy, a biography of her father, and has a writing credit on Toy Story 4. 

The former child actor appeared as Michael Scott's boss turned toxic lover Jan Levinson (known originally as Jan Levinson-Gould, as Office completists would be quick to point out).

In 2019, the always-working, Emmy-nominated Hardin landed a recurring role as Allison Miller's TV mother on the ABC drama A Million Little Pieces. She also stars in the Freeform dramedy The Bold Type as the editor-in-chief of a Cosmopolitan-like magazine.

Through parts of six Office seasons, Denman appeared as Pam Beesly's bad-news boyfriend, warehouse-worker Roy Anderson.

The post-Office Denman has played a super-nice single dad on Parenthood, scored big-screen work in films such as Brightburn and Logan Lucky -- and helped John Krasinski troll Jenna Fischer.

Buckley was working as a financial adviser when he was cast in Season 2 as David Wallace, Dunder Mifflin's chief financial officer. Buckley kept his day job until the one-shot role became a recurring character.

Now a full-time actor, Wallace has racked up dozens of post-Office credits on productions like Fox's 9-1-1, the movie Jurassic World, and the CBS sitcom Life in Pieces, in which he guest-starred opposite Julie Chen Moonves (pictured).

Helms joined The Office in Season 3 as the "Big Tuna"-coining, glee-choir-singing Andy Bernard.

Midway through his Office tenure, Helms became a box-office star via The Hangover. In 2019, he was seen in the horror-comedy Corporate Animals.

Kemper joined The Office cast in Season 5. She played the Scranton branch's peppy new secretary, Erin Hannon.

Kemper scored two Primetime Emmy nominations for playing the perpetually optimistic former abductee Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

In Season 9, Duke joined The Office as Scranton new-guy Clark Green, a customer service rep.

Duke, who co-starred with Office vet Craig Robinson in the Hot Tub Time Machine movies and appeared in Hulu's Veronica Mars reboot, is seen at a red-carpet event in Los Angeles in 2019.

During The Office's ninth and final season, Lacy played the branch's other new guy, Pete Miller.

Lacy, seen at a New York City screening in 2019, has gone on to appear in Girls, FX's Fosse/Verdon and the Showtime series I'm Dying Up Here.

Ryan was fresh off her Oscar nomination for Ben Affleck's Gone Baby Gone when she debuted as human-resources rep Holly Flax (Michael Scott's future wife) in The Office's Season 4 finale, titled "Goodbye, Toby."

Ryan reunited with Steve Carell in the 2018 drama Beautiful Boy (pictured). In the film, Ryan plays the ex-wife of Carell's character.

The veteran actor and Emmy-winning star (Boston Legal, Sex, Lies and Videotape) appeared in Seasons 7 and 8 of The Office as Dunder Mifflin's quixotic new corporate chief Robert California.

Since 2013 Spader has starred as criminal mastermind Raymond Reddington on NBC's The Blacklist.

The British comic and Doctor Who vet came to work on The Office in Season 7 as Nellie Bertram, a Brit who fails upward at Dunder Mifflin's new parent company, Sabre.

Tate, seen in 2018, lent her voice to Disney Channel's DuckTales.

Woods played Gabe Lewis, who was originally a lackey for Sabre, the corporate giant that bought Dunder Mifflin in Season 6.

Starting in 2014, Woods provided big laughs on Silicon Valley as awkward business development officer Jared Dunn. He can currently be seen on HBO's Avenue 5.
