- The group was first created by Russell Markert in St․ Louis in 1925, then known as the "Missouri Rockets․"
- More than 3,000 women have danced as Rockettes since the company's inception
- Best known as a precision dance company that has performed at Radio City Music Hall since its opening night in 1932
- All Rockettes must be between 5'6" and 5'10" in height, and the illusion that they are all the same height is maintained by putting the tallest dancers in the middle and the shortest on the end
- Danced at the premieres of the films "Miracle on 34th Street," "102 Dalmatians" and "The Lion King․"
- Each dancer has microphones in her shoes so that the sound of her tap dancing can be magnified
