• At 10, costarred with her real-life sister, Emma, as siblings in 2003's In America, in a role written for a 14-year-old, but director Jim Sheridan was so impressed she got the part
• In America role was an acclaimed breakthrough that earned numerous accolades, including the Best Performance by a Youth in a Lead or Supporting Role Award from the Phoenix Film Critics Society, and an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Female
• Other honors include a Shooting Stars award at the 2009 Berlin Film Festival and an Actress in a Supporting Role award in 2010 from the Irish Film & Television Academy for TV's The Tudors
