In his tenure at USC, the Trojans won 7 straight Pac-10 titles, made 7 consecutive appearances in BCS bowl games (winning 6), had 7 11-win seasons, finished in the top 4 of the AP rankings 7 times, and won 34 straight games in a stretch from 2003 to '05
Among many charitable causes, he helped start A Better LA, an organization that helps deter gang violence in urban areas
In January 2010, resigned at USC to become head coach and executive vice president of the Seattle Seahawks
