• Originally aspired to be a baseball player while growing up, but had to stop after his arm was injured during a game
• Following college, lived with his grandmother in Paris while working as a bartender
• Performed in stage productions of Johnny on a Spot, Misha's Party and Dead End at Williamstown Theatre Festival in 1997
• Played the role of Young Man in an off-Broadway production of Snakebit in 1998
• In 2000, changed his surname from Rubinstein to Weston because there was already a Michael Rubinstein in the Screen Actors Guild
• Performed the role of Daniel Reed in Kenneth Lonergan's The Waverly Gallery at Pasadena Playhouse in 2002
• In 2010, performed in the off-Broadway production Extinction opposite James Roday
• Is a longtime friend of Zach Braff, who has cast him in several of his projects, including Garden State and The Last Kiss
