After graduating college, moved to New York for a year and worked as an advertising copywriter before returning to Los Angeles
Grace in Will & Grace is based on his childhood friend Janet, and Will is based on him
Has created and produced multiple television series with his creative partner and childhood friend David Kohan, with whom he has a production company named KoMut Entertainment
