• Spent high school summers studying operatic singing at Boston University's Tanglewood Institute
• Sang in college choirs and at weddings and funerals while attending high school in New Haven, CT
• Recognized in public for one of the first times as "the girl who stole the foot" by a Six Feet Under fan while attending a Tanglewood Institute concert in the summer of 2002
• Follows the Boston Red Sox and has attended former player Nomar Garciaparra's "Nomar Bowl" charitable bowling event in Boston
