  • Was sued by Fantasy because "The Old Man Down the Road," a cut from his 1985 solo album, Centerfield, allegedly too closely resembled the CCR song "Run Through the Jungle
  • " Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as a member of CCR, in 1993; inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005
  • Reunited with Fantasy in 2005---for the release of best-of album The Long Road Home---when the label's new owners arranged to restore royalty rights Fogerty had relinquished in the mid-'70s to gain release from his contract
