Anger Management Producer Sued For $50 Million

Joe Roth, the producer behind FX's upcoming Charlie Sheen comedy Anger Management, is being sued for $50 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Jason Shuman filed a lawsuit with the Los Angeles Superior Court claiming that he worked with Roth for two years on the project before ultimately being forced out when Sheen came on board.

Charlie Sheen is shopping around his series based on the film Anger Management, Entertainment Weekly reports. "I chose Anger Management because, while it might be a big stretch for me to play a guy with serious anger management issues, I think it is a great concept," Sheen said in a statement. "It also provides me with real ownership in the series, a certain amount of creative control and the chance to be back in business with one of my favorite movie producers of all time, Joe Roth."
