  • Started skating at age 2, but became more interested after he saw 1980 Olympic gold medalist Robin Cousins in an ice show.
  • Attended high school for five years to focus on good grades and good skating.
  • Became the first American male to win the World Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in 2008-09.
