• Performed in plays at the Columbus Children's Theatre

• Even though he was accepted to Ohio State University and University of California, Los Angeles, decided to pursue an acting career and moved to Los Angeles
• His character on Grey's Anatomy was only supposed to appear on a couple of episodes but became a series regular
