• Was discovered by a Swedish modeling agency in her early teens
• Appeared in the cult stage production Wild Side Story in Sweden and in various Swedish cabarets
• As a teen, moved to London to study acting and to perfect her English
• Was set to work on a cruise ship as a dancer, but she faked an injury at the last minute and moved to Los Angeles, at age 19, instead
• Found immediate success in Hollywood and was cast in the 2004 Fox pilot Sweden, Ohio, which eventually aired as a TV movie
• Appeared on all three versions of CSI
• Played the lead in the 2007 sci-fi flick Species: The Awakening
• Was cast in a minor role in Iron Man 2 (2010) opposite Robert Downey Jr
