For over 15 years, he has coordinated efforts with World Vision Canada to raise money and awareness for children living in impoverished countries
Has helped to raise awareness for children's rehabilition programs from Bloorview Children's Hospital for more than 13 years
He is a member of the SickKids Foundation Constellation of Stars, as part of a a long-term commitment to the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto
In 2005, he received the National Volunteer of the Year award by Special Olympics Canada, honoring his volunteer work which began in 1997
Attended college at Ontario Bible College (now Tyndale University College and Seminary), where he won the Evangelism Award in 1981 as a freshman
Though born in England, he is of Italian descent
After moving to Canada in the 1960s, he worked as a play-by-play announcer for several teams, including the Humber College Hawks and the Canadian National Soccer League
His first position with The Sports Network was as a reporter for the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, Korea
Best known as the host of "That's Hockey" on The Sports Network
He is also the host of weekly radio series Junior Hockey Magazine, which shares stories from the Canadian Hockey League
Prior to hosting "That's Hockey," he served as the head anchor of "SportCentre," hosting more than 3,000 shows over the course of 12 years
