• Is the grandson of John Packard, an Irish American and a member of the US Army, who had settled down in Bangalore, India
• Made his film acting debut in the Malayalam movie Aryan (1988), following which he made his Bollywood acting debut in Ilaaka (1989)
• Acted in Malayalam and Telugu films apart from mainstream Hindi films
• Was a bodybuilding trainer of Bollywood stars Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, and Salman Khan's bodyguard Shera
• Has won several state and national awards in bodybuilding
• Mutually separated from his wife Avril Packard who moved away to France with their daughter
• Met with a bike accident in an inebriated state during 2012, following which he suffered from respiratory disorders
