  • Often known for his role in 1973's "The Wicker Man", he also appeared in numerous television series over the years including American series, "The Equalizer" during the 1980s
  • Only quit smoking after suffering two heart attacks and undergoing triple bypass surgery in the late-90s
  • Awarded the OBEY in 1978 for his contributions to the film industry
