After appearing in a rock video at age 11, this British bad boy decided to pursue acting, but studied carpentry at a technical college just in case he needed something to fall back on. It was a smart decision that would help him snag his breakthrough gig stateside on the reality series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. After graduating from school, Sanders alternated between acting jobs and construction work before landing a role on the U.K. soccer show Dream Team. He also became a popular emcee, hosting myriad series, including the British edition of Fear Factor. In 2004, Sanders relocated to Los Angeles and was quickly snatched up for Extreme Makeover during its third season, becoming an audience favorite due to his exotic accent, innate sex appeal and exuberant---if sometimes reckless---behavior. During his tenure on the ABC series, Sanders suffered two notable mishaps: First, he contracted a staph infection after failing to treat a festering foot blister; then he sliced up his hand after removing the safety guard from an electric saw. Ever the entertainer, Sanders took both injuries in stride, allowing his recovery to be featured on the show and warning audiences not to follow his bad example. In 2007, Sanders took on a new challenge when he and his wife, Gioia Gagliano, added triplet girls to a family that already included son Max. He also made a return to hosting with the short-lived summer game show National Bingo Night, but over the next few years, Sanders' carpentry work on Extreme Makeover remained his main professional focus.
