• First TV series was the short-lived 1988 sitcom First Impressions in which he played a divorced impressionist raising a 9-year-old daughter
• In order to portray Jackie Gleason in the 2002 made-for-TV biopic Gleason, he had to be filmed as though he didn't appear a foot taller than the iconic comedian
• Appeared in a Broadway production of The Odd Couple in 2005 as Murray the Cop and replaced an ailing Nathan Lane in the lead role of Oscar Madison for several performances in early 2006
• Won the 5th season of Bravo's Celebrity Poker Showdown and participated in the World Series of Poker in 2005, 2006 and 2007
• Opened Brad Garrett's Comedy Club in Las Vegas in 2010 at the Tropicana, and later moved the club to the MGM Grand
