Got his first role in Noorie (1979) that fetched his first salary of 500 Indian rupees which he gave away to his mother
Has performed in Hindi, English, Punjabi, Marathi and many other language plays all over India and abroad
Is the brother of assistant director Kuljinder Singh Gill aka Pinky Gill who passed away from accident on the sets of Mera Naam Tera Naam ( Wah Tera Kya Kehna)
