• Earned a PhD in Mathematics, in a way following in the footsteps of his father, a mathematics professor at University of Quebec in Outaouais
• Was trained in jujutsu by Canadian martial arts legend John Therien, and this was the start of his martial arts training
• Started out in the entertainment industry as a stuntman, and his first film was the 2011 epic fantasy Immortals in which he doubled Henry Cavill
• After a few film roles, he won his first lead role in the 2016 action sequel Kickboxer: Vengeance alongside martial arts action film legend Jean Claude Van Damme
• Has been the owner and chief instructor at NX Martial Arts & Fitness, in Ottawa, Ontario
