Certain people are saying ...
Question: Certain people are saying that Supernatural isn't coming back next year. Say it isn't so!Answer: Well, I think "certain people" are jumping the gun a little. My sources put the show's chances of renewal at 60/40 in its favor.
Thanks for the scoop about ...
Question: Thanks for the scoop about Lorelai going back to Luke's diner! As you said, finally!Answer: That reminds me, I never got around to telling you what happens after their whole diner reunion. It involves car shopping and a really big argument. Oh, and I just found out that the following week's episode (that's No. 20 for those keeping track at home) features a Gilmore Girls first: Lauren Graham singing one of ABBA's greatest hits!
Got any new info on ...
Question: Got any new info on Smallville? It's been a while, and I'm so spoiler-deprived right now, I'll take anything.Answer: Well, there's a pretty big tease about Lana's baby waiting for you in Episode 2 of the Ausiello Report vodcast. And because I love you guys almost as much as I love myself, here's another scoopbit about the li'l bun thing in the oven (Spoiler alert): Lana haters may finally warm up to her after she realizes that Lex has pulled off the mother of all deceptions.
Were Peter's bangs the big ...
Question: Were Peter's bangs the big death on Heroes?Answer: LOL! I knew Sylar wasn't all bad!
I just watched your first ...
Question: I just watched your first Ausiello Report vodcast, and I absolutely loved it! This is going to be a weekly thing, correct? I'll be devastated if not.Answer: Yes, the goal is to get a new one up every Tuesday. Worst-case scenario, it'll go up on Wednesday, which is what happened with Episode 2 this week. We needed an extra day of post-pro to try to eliminate the unfortunate Alfalfa cowlick menacing my scalp. As you can see, we weren't very successful. In related news, if anyone knows a hair and makeup person who works for cheap (read: an Ask Ausiello T-shirt and a Snapple coupon), have them contact me ASAP.
Will Addison and Alex ever ...
Question: Will Addison and Alex ever really get together? The suspense is killing me.Answer: It looks like Addisex has become a casualty of Kate Walsh's forthcoming spin-off. More on that next week.
Emily rocked it Sunday! You ...
Question: Emily rocked it Sunday! You do realize that you may be single-handedly responsible for the greatest piece of casting in television history, right?Answer: It's crossed my mind, yes. Hey, do they give out awards for that kind of thing?
Please tell me Jason and Lyla ...
Question: Please tell me Jason and Lyla are eventually going to break up on Friday Night Lights so that I can be saved from the boredom that is them as a couple.Answer: Well, I can tell you that he's going to seriously rethink the whole wedding thing. Could it be that his tattoo-artist crush got under his skin more than he's letting on?
There is a "spoiler" floating ...
Question: There is a "spoiler" floating around that Rory and Logan will break up for good on Gilmore Girls before the season ends. Is there any truth to this?Answer: I think I know how this rumor got started. Matt Czuchry is attached to a fall pilot, and folks are assuming that that means he's leaving Gilmore Girls. Not so. The pilot, Gravity, is in "second position," which is a fancy way of saying he can appear in it if and only if Gilmore Girls doesn't return for an eighth season. (No news on that front, BTW.)
Is it true that Vincent ...
Question: Is it true that Vincent D'Onofrio is leaving Law & Order: Criminal Intent? Please say it isn't so!Answer: It isn't so! BTW, I didn't mean to disparage CI by suggesting that no one would miss it if it were gone. Obviously, the 50 or so people who ripped me a new one in my Ausiello Report blog are gonna miss it.
I heard that Las Vegas canned ...
Question: I heard that Las Vegas canned Nikki Cox and that James Caan is leaving of his own free will.Answer: That's NBC's story and they're sticking to it. My Vegas mole, however, says Caan's exit was more of a mutual decision. It's true that he was itching to get back into the features world, but it's also true that Vegas producers, in exchange for a fifth season, had to cut the show's budget drastically — and eliminating Caan's seven-figure salary was like killing 16 PETA-approved animatronic birds with one stone. Not surprisingly, exec producer Gary Scott Thompson denied all of this in an interview yesterday with TVGuide.com's very own Matt Mitovich. "It's more on Jimmy's part," he maintained. "He wanted to do features again. TV's really tough. Eighty-seven episodes is a long time to be away from a feature career. He was itching to
Like you, my favorite show ...
Question: Like you, my favorite show right now is Friday Night Lights. I'm begging for some really, really good spoilers. Please.Answer: Hell hath no fury like a Tyra scorned. On March 21, Dillon's resident hell-raiser will turn Buddy Garrity's car lot into a one-woman demolition derby. In the same episode, Smash learns the truth about Waverly's mood swings and handles it exactly the way a teenage guy would: avoidance.
Do you know which upcoming ...
Question: Do you know which upcoming episode of Lost will contain the "significant story bomb/game changer" that Damon Lindelof told you about way back in November?Answer: Good question. I managed to get my grubby little mitts on tonight's Damon Lindelof/Carlton Cuse-penned outing, "Enter 77," and, although it's pretty significant — not to mention edge-of-your-seat spine-tingly — I don't think it qualifies as game-changing. What makes it significant, you ask? Well, we kinda-sorta learn (Spoiler alert) the connection between Dharma and the Others, as well as the identity of creepy *y*-****h guy. Oh, and a series regular gets shot, a recurring character gets killed, and someone we've seen before utters the following line: "I'm the last living member of the Dharma Initiative."

Is Clea DuVall done on ...
Question: Is Clea DuVall done on Heroes?Answer: I hear there's a good chance she'll pop up in the May 21 season finale.

Question: OMG! That last scene in the last Brothers & Sisters with Rebecca and Justin overlooking L.A. was such a huge nod to Everwood! Any scoop on what's coming next?Answer: More Everwood-esque bonding between half brother and sister, and a disastrous first date between Kevin and McCallister's yet-to-be-cast gay bro.
Noooooo! Say it ain't ...
Question: Noooooo! Say it ain't frakkin' so! Is Starbuck really dead?Answer: C'mon, people! Before her viper went kerplooey, she clearly had her finger on the eject button. Go back and look again.

Question: How many more episodes of Grey's Anatomy are there left this season?Answer: Including the one additional episode ABC just ordered (more on that in my vodcast) and the two hours earmarked for the spin-off, we've got a total of eight hours left.
Does your "gray" blind item ...
Question: Does your "gray" blind item have anything to do with William Petersen?Answer: No.
I need Lost scoop.
Question: I need Lost scoop.Answer: Damon and Carlton make me laugh hard. In the letter that accompanied the screener for "Enter 77," they took aim at a certain faction of impossible-to-please Lost fans by cheekily cautioning, "For those of you who want beach stories, you'll be disappointed. Until next week. For those of you who want answers, you'll be happy. Until next week." What about those of us who want beach stories and answers?! What about us?!
Exclusive: Josh Schwartz Teams Up with Everwood Alum
This just in: One of our favorite Everwood peeps, Sarah Lancaster, has nabbed the female lead in Josh Schwartz's much-buzzed-about NBC pilot Chuck, sources confirm. Lancaster joins Zachary Levi (Less Than Perfect), who's playing the title character — a computer geek who moonlights as a superhero. In other pilot cast news, did you hear who landed the co-female lead opposite Parker Posey in ASP's Fox comedy The Return of Jezebel James? If not, you might want to visit Matt Mitovich's ridonkulously comprehensive news blog. (Two words: Dream. Team.)
