Question: What's the latest on David Boreanaz's ABC detective show? — Sally Ausiello: It hasn't gotten past the script stage yet.
Question: Hey, Mike — I'm writing my own TV show and it would be absolutely fab to have you do a cameo if it ever hits it big. Interested? I'll throw in a truckload of Snapple as payment! — Nikki Ausiello: Well, it's not a six-figure endorsement deal, but it's a start. Where do I sign?

Question: I gave up soda for Lent, and as I stood in front of the beverage cooler in the grocery store looking for some thirst-quenching refreshment, decided to give Diet Snapple a try. Knowing how much you rave about the Diet Raspberry Tea, I thought I'd try that, but can you believe they were out? I picked up a Diet Cranberry-Raspberry and was pleasantly surprised! Yummy! Couldn't believe it was diet — and only 10 calories! Have you tried it, or are you a strict Diet Raspberry Tea drinker only? — Dianne Ausiello: I'm a fairly strict Diet Raspberry Tea addict, er, drinker. However, if I'm really desperate (read: The store is out of Diet Raspberry Tea or the stock they do have is out of date), I'll grab a Diet Lemon Tea. Speaking of Snapple, I've been faced with a rather serious ethical dilemma that I feel compelled to share with you all. I no longer feel like I can sing the praises of Diet Raspberry Tea in light of the company's decision not to
Question: Any truth to rumors that Rob Lowe will return to The West Wing for this season's finale? — MJ Ausiello: NBC says there's "no credence" to those rumors. And they best not be lying to me.
Question: Are you still losing weight? You look great! — Lisa M. Ausiello: Thanks, Lisa! Actually, I'm trying to lose a few extra pounds to get in shape for an audition next week. It's for a new show on FX called Starved. I hear they're looking for actors who are at least 60 lbs. below their ideal body weight. Suffice it to say, I've got some binging and purging to do. Now, provided a deal can be hammered out, Alias' May sweeps teaser can best be summed up in six words: Irina Derevko returns from the dead. Check out next week's TV Guide magazine for more.
Question: Could you please mention our campaign at saveclarkandlana.com? — ROCKAMANIAC Ausiello: Your total is $24.95. Please pay at the register.
Question: Any chance Eugene (Steve Harris) will show up on Boston Legal as a judge? He was my favorite character on The Practice. — Tom Dennis Ausiello: I heard that David E. Kelley was interested in using him, but he wanted his same per-episode salary from The Practice and Legal just couldn't afford it (read: Murphy Brown ain't cheap!).
Question: Do you have any scoop on actress Ashlie Atkinson, who recently starred opposite Keri Russell in the off-Broadway play Fat Pig? I went to school with her in Little Rock and would like to know if she's going to be appearing on the small screen anytime soon. Thanks! — AC Ausiello: Were there other actors besides Keri in Fat Pig? I thought it was a one-woman show. Anyway, you can catch Ashlie on the second season of Rescue Me, debuting this summer. She'll be reprising her role as whatshisface's girlfriend.
Question: Enough with Keri Russell, already. If you want to obsess over something, pick a classic show that made a lasting impact on civilization: Dawson's Creek. — Jeremy Ausiello: What did I do to make you hate me so much, Jeremy?
Question: Is Heather Graham returning to Scrubs anytime soon? Cuz she was awesome! — Andrew K. Ausiello: Yep, she'll be back for one more episode, airing later this season.
Question: How is your relative's job search going? — Tomlee Ausiello: You mean my brother David? He's got a bunch of meetings lined up in New York with high-powered marketing/PR execs, but he's still considering all offers/opportunities. Why, got something for him? And Dave, if you're reading this, your total (with the 10 percent family discount factored in) is $22.46. Please pay at the register.
Question: Got any scoop on Alias? How is it doing in the ratings? — Miss Marry Ausiello: It's having its strongest year yet, thanks to a little perk called a Lost lead-in. As for scoop, keep reading. There's a spoiler hidden somewhere in this week's column. (And when I say hidden, I mean hidden.) Consider this your first and final warning, Alias fans: Stop reading if you don't want a potential May sweeps shocker ruined.
Question: Will Melanie Griffith be joining Gilmore Girls this season or next? — Jim Ausiello: It would be for this season, but now I'm hearing the deal is looking kinda iffy. Maybe Amy Sherman-Palladino read all those anti-Melanie posts in Ask Ausiello last week. Regardless, the character — a snooty socialite who causes conflict between Lorelai and Emily — will be introduced in late April.
Question: Just want to wish you a Happy Birthday! — Alyssa Ausiello: Damn — I really didn't want that out there. Now everyone's gonna wanna give me nice presents. Why'd you have to open your big mouth, Alyssa? Why?!?!?!?!?!
Question: How the f--- am I supposed to mail a frozen banana to Gail Berman (Ask Ausiello 2/16)?! One, you need to post an address, and two, I need dry ice. — Richard Ausiello: First off, watch the language, Dick; this is a family column. And secondly, how does Donna Summer's name appear in the phone book? Stretch it out now, stretch it out. Loud and clear now. Keep going. Summer Donna, that's right! Simmah down now! That's it! Now get! Get before I take a weapon to you! Come on now, simmah down now!

Question: What, no Alias dirt this week? What good are you? — Chris Ausiello: Patience, my friend. It's coming.
Question: Lauren Graham is always stellar on Gilmore Girls, but the past couple of weeks she has totally hit it out of the park! — Smurfette Ausiello: And that's putting it mildly. After watching last week's post-100th show, titled "Say Something," I immediately called my peeps over at WB and urged, begged, ordered them to send that episode to Emmy voters for nomination consideration. Turns out they were already three steps ahead of me on that. In fact, I'm told Peter Roth, president of Warner Bros. Television Production, felt the four-star episode was one of Ms. Graham's finest hours as well. I'd go so far as to say it was one of the show's finest hours. From Lorelai and Luke's heartbreaking black-and-white movie montage to Rory and Logan's swoonworthy dorm-room kiss to Paris' hysterical "Bite me!" tirade, I don't remember the last time one hour of TV stirred so many emotions in me. And if that makes me the biggest girlie-man to ever w
