The second season of the quirky comedy opens with Jimmy (Chris Geere) and Gretchen (Aya Cash) forced to live together while trying to navigate their relationship. This proves to be a daunting task, especially after Jimmy gets a commission to write a novel and Gretchen starts spiraling down into depression. In the meantime, Lindsay (Kether Donohue) and Paul (Allan McLeod) are dealing with their own marital issues; Paul moves out of their home and tries to start a new life with another woman, while Lindsay can't accept the separation and tries to use the smitten Edgar (Desmin Borges) to her to make her husband jealous. Vernon (Todd Robert Anderson) and Becca (Janet Varney) prove to be great sounding boards for their friends, despite showing signs of immaturity themselves.
