Also: a segment on "Hail to the Chief." The fanfare took hold during the Polk administration (1845-49) and, not surprisingly, has been a presidential favorite ever since. In fact, says historian Doris Kearns Goodwin: "Jackie Kennedy used to tease [JFK] by saying it was the only song he liked."
