Episode 1
The Toyota MR2 is a two-seat, mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive sports car produced by Toyota, from 1984 until July 2007 when production stopped in Japan. In France the name was shortened to MR to avoid the similarity in pronunciation of MR2 with the French words est merdeux, meaning "(it) is shitty".

This is the first Japanese car in the series and Mike believes it may not be the last.
Episode 3
The Peugeot 205 is a supermini car produced by the French manufacturer Peugeot from 1983 to 1999. The 1.6 GTI was launched in 1984. It was declared 'Car of the Decade' by CAR Magazine in 1990.

Bought through a newspaper advertisement, and Mike gave tips on what to say and do and what not to say when advertising a used car on the classified ads.

The Jimny 1000, sold as the Suzuki SJ410 in most export markets, used the F10A - a larger 1 litre version of the LJ's 0.8 liter four-cylinder engine. A four-speed manual transmission was standard, as were non-power assisted drum brakes front and rear. The SJ410 came as a half-door convertible.

First vehicle to be acquired through eBay. Converted to mini monster truck. The wheels fall off the project as Ed gives Mike the bad news that the car failed MOT test due to rust holes.

First car bought at an auction instead of a private seller. Lowest profit in the series. A tear in the drivers seat was not repaired, and used to negotiate the seller price down.

The MGB is a sports car launched by MG Cars in May 1962, replacing the MGA. The MGB GT sported a ground-breaking greenhouse designed by Pininfarina, an independent Italian car design firm, and launched the sporty "hatchback" style.

Beach buggies are usually created using an existing vehicle, most notably the original car or chassis, often a Volkswagen Beetle or a purpose-built chassis. The model is nicknamed Bug, therefore the term "buggy".

Original plan was to purchase and restore a Volkswagen Beetle. Purchased Beetle, which was a barn find derelict beyond restoration, was custom converted to mark the 40th anniversary of the Beach Buggy. First non-runner purchase. Cheapest purchase in the entire series.
